South Sudan's rebel leader arrives in Khartoum

South Sudan's main rebel group, the Sudan People's Liberation Movement-In-Opposition (SPLM-IO) confirmed that its leader Riek Machar has arrived in Khartoum.
Puok Both Baluang, the SPLM-IO director of information and public relations, told Radio Tamazuj from Khartoum this evening that Machar arrived in the Sudanese capital Khartoum to attend talks with President Salva Kiir on Monday.
"Yes I can confirm that Machar has arrived in Khartoum. He arrived for the talks," Baluang said.
The government has not yet confirmed President Kiir's attendance for the talks slated for Monday.
The two leaders at the center of the devastating civil war in South Sudan, met face to face for the first time in two years in Addis Ababa.
